Roseburg VA Health Care System

Welcome to the Pharmacy Residency Program

The VA Roseburg pharmacy residency is a one year post-graduate experiential educational program which provides in-depth experiences in ambulatory care clinical practices as well as inpatient. We currently offer three positions for our PGY-1 residency program. Residents will work with pharmacists with scopes of practice, prescriptive authority, and active patient management in areas such as ambulatory care, administration, transitional care, and mental health. Year-long longitudinal clinics available include smoking cessation; anticoagulation; erythropoietin; hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes; long-term care; and metabolic syndrome monitoring.
All materials must be submitted to PhORCAS- Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service.
Our interview process runs approximately four hours and will include a group interview with various preceptors in Roseburg and a tour of the site.
Residents will be required to meet all ASHP standards for a PGY-1 residency.
Please browse the website for more information about our facility.
If you have any questions about the application process, please e-mail our Pharmacy Residency Program Director at: Daniel.Neal@va.gov.
