Situation Update

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

All Roseburg VA Health Care System facilities are currently offering limited services; routine and non-emergent care is currently being delivered virtually via VA Video Connect (VVC), telehealth, telephone care, or scheduled in the community where appropriate. A reminder, you must have an appointment in order to access our sites of care.

VA has a comprehensive plan in place to protect the health of everyone who receives care or works at one of our facilities. Using an abundance of caution, all VA medical facilities are implementing screening measures for signs of respiratory illness and exposure to COVID-19. This protocol will be in place until further notice.

Please arrive 30 minutes early for your appointment and please come alone unless you need assistance from a direct caregiver and/or it is medically necessary. No one under the age of 16 will be permitted in any VA facility or clinic, and visitation is limited. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis. We appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time.

Note that you must wear a cloth mask (covering your nose and mouth) when accessing all sites. This policy exists across the VA system, and has been put into place for the health and safety of all.

VA COVID-19 Screening Tool
To expedite your entrance on campus, consider using the VA COVID-19 Mobile Screening Tool. The screening tool can be accessed via website at VA COVID-19 Mobile Screening Tool Information or by texting the word “SCREEN” to 53079 on your mobile phone to get a link to the tool. Using your mobile phone, it takes just moments to answer six short questions. Simply show the end screen on your phone to VA staff as you enter the facility. In addition to helping reduce wait times, This new tool can lower exposure risk, and, perhaps, ease stress a bit.
If you choose to use this tool, please answer the questions prior to arriving at the VA facility and show the end screen to staff when you arrive at the screening station.
